About the
Established in 1976 by Padma Bhushan awardees, Raja and Radha Reddy, Natya Tarangini was started with an idea of popularizing Kuchipudi style of classical dance in Northern India. It has since evolved into a unique arts institute encompassing all activities involved in the formation of arts. Natya Tarangini’s aim is to enlighten the general public on the importance of Dance and Music in the society. The institute is for anyone and everyone who is already interested or is keen to initiate themselves into the world of Performing Arts.
Over the years hundreds of students from across the globe have been trained under the Natya Tarangini banner. As part of its endeavour to redefine and rejuvenate India’s rich cultural heritage Natya Tarangini organises a National Festival of Music can Dance titles the “Parampara Series”.

In order to further propagate Natya Tarangini’s aim and re-root itself, Yamini Reddy founded the Hyderabad chapter. Since its establishment in 2007, the school has ably trained numerous students under its wing. Apart from regular classes Natya Tarangini also actively conducts workshops and sessions by well-known artists from the field of dance and music.
At Natya Tarangini we believe in taking utmost care while training students. Tiny tots to senior level students are given personal attention because we firmly believe that a strong foundation is of utmost importance for the development of a fine dancer. Our approach is more inclined towards performance training and preparing Kuchipudi performers of tomorrow. Simultaneously, we also focus on necessary academic orientation needed to prepare dancers for the future.

The Natya Tarangini dance productions are renowned both nationally and internationally. Their unique choreography stylizing, themes and presentations is supported by a group of highly competent dancers who are trained in the most professional standards
The Yamini Reddy repertory has presented some of these productions at some of the most prestigious festivals such as the Godavari Festival, International Blockchain conference, Indian Science Congress, Badami Festival, Hampi Festival, Natyanjali Festival etc, Parampara series Delhi, The repertory is acclaimed for its finesse in technique, choreography and presentation.

Legendary Kuchipudi Dancing couple, Raja and Radha Reddy, is responsible for bringing Kuchipudi dance, the pride of Andhra Pradesh, onto the cultural map of the world.
For their contribution to the art form they have been decorated with many awards nationally and internationally. They have had the honor of performing for presidents and prime ministers of many countries such as President Ford, Bill Clinton, Fidel Castro etc. They have conducted charity shows for Red Cross Society, Blind Relief Association, and the home for the aged people in Bombay and CRY. They had the honor of being invited as the first Indian dancers to participate in the International Dance festival of Avignon in France and Salzburg in Austria.
The couple’s contribution to the festival of India in the USA and the UK was considered outstanding. They were the star attraction of the All Star Ballet Gala festival in Japan. The Reddys inaugurated the India Festival in Bangladesh. Raja and Radha Reddy have created history by becoming the first couple to receive Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan award individually and simultaneously for the same cause by the President of India, the Sangeet Natak Academy award, International Meridian award etc.
Kaushalya Reddy is the foremost disciple of Padma Bhushan Raja and Radha Reddy. She has been the key person conducting the affairs of Raja-Radha Reddy’s performances all over the world for more than two decades. Eventually she became an integral part of Raja Reddy’s life by marrying him. She now successfully heads the Natya Tarangini Institute of Kuchipudi dance as its artistic director. Under her guidance the institute is establishing its presence as a world class performing arts center in New Delhi.
Apart from performing and teaching, she started the glorious annual series of music & dance festival, the ‘Parampara Series’ in 1998, New Delhi which has been inaugurated by the President and Prime minister of India. She also curates the Natya Tarangini ‘ Mahashivratri Festival’ annually.
Born to the Legendary dancing couple Raja and Radha Reddy, Yamini has got Kuchipudi dance in inheritance from her parents. Famous parents can be a tough yardstick especially to those who aspire to make their niche in the same field. Despite doing her MBA she has dedicated herself to the promotion of Kuchipudi. Her performances have been highly acclaimed by the art circle and general public.
For her dedication to the art form she has received the, Yuva Ratna Award (Rotary Club), National FICCI Young Achievers award, Devadasi National Award (Orissa) and National Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar ( Introduced by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam), SBJ legends of tomorrow 2015 and most recently the Jashn e Hindustan Youth Icon award 2017.
In 2017 Yamini started the Natya Tarangini training centre in Hyderabad. This year it successfully completes 10 yrs in Hyderabad
